MATLAB Application Field Engineer

We’re seeking a MATLAB Application Field Engineer to develop and deploy MATLAB code for production-level systems. This role involves translating algorithms and prototypes into robust, maintainable components, with a strong emphasis on version control and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy production-level MATLAB code
• Translate research prototypes and algorithms into maintainable, version-controlled MATLAB components
• Work extensively with MATLAB language and toolboxes, particularly signal processing
• Wrap C/C++ libraries for integration with MATLAB
• Apply strong knowledge of linear algebra, signal processing, and control systems

Requirements

• 5 + years developing and deploying MATLAB code for production-level systems
• Experience with translating algorithms and research prototypes into robust, maintainable, version-controlled MATLAB components
• Deep understanding of MATLAB language, toolboxes (especially signal processing), and the execution engine
• Experience with wrapping C/C++ libraries for Matlab
• Solid grasp of linear algebra, signal-processing, and control-systems concepts

Nice to Have:

Experience with HDL Coder to generate synthesizable VHDL/Verilog

Familiarity with Fixed Point Designer for converting floating-point algorithms to fixed-point

Experience with MATLAB Coder / Embedded Coder (C/C++ code generation) – Creating highly optimized native code for embedded processors or GPUs.

Experience with Simulink modeling & simulation, including code generation workflows
