Idea Entity Corporation seeks Senior Software Developer in Herndon, VA.

Job Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and deliver software.
• Develop high-quality software to meet the increasing demands of availability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Lead code and design reviews to completion, ensuring a high standard of code quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize project features and enhancements based on business goals.
• Act as a collaborative team player involved in defining, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting software solutions.
• Maintain open and active communication across the team, promoting a culture of collaboration.
• Oversee the functional aspects of projects, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
• Bring creative and innovative thinking to your work, contributing to the overall development of the team.
• Uphold code integrity and organization, contributing to a scalable and maintainable codebase.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring successful project completion.
• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Responsible for technical personnel-related decision-making, including hiring, firing, or recommending such technical personnel actions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and standards to ensure the application of cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent) and 8 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Requires 8 years of experience with the following: software development covering the full product cycle (design, development, release, and maintenance); web technologies and frameworks (such as JavaScript/React/HTML/CSS/jQuery/REST API); and cloud-based services (such as Azure or AWS).

Requires 5 years of experience with the following: leading and mentoring software development teams; conducting design and code reviews; code versioning tools such as Azure DevOps/TFS and GIT; ASP.NET Core/ASP.NET Razor, SQL/PostgreSQL, and Bootstrap; designing and implementing large systems and databases; and implementation of security and data protection.

Compensation
