Data Capability Lead – S4/HANA & o9 Transformation (LATAM)

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a highly experienced Data Capability Lead to temporarily fill a key leadership role within our S/4HANA and o9 transformation program. The ideal candidate will drive data strategy and execution across global workstreams, partnering with cross-functional teams, systems integrators, and regional stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data readiness, cutover success, and business continuity during the deployment phase.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of data-centric workstreams supporting global ERP transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with system integrators, internal IT teams, and regional business units to align on data preparation, quality, and migration strategies.
  • Manage key project deliverables including sprint reviews, risk assessments, milestone tracking, and interdependencies.
  • Oversee regional deployment support—ensuring smooth transitions, training readiness, and issue resolution.
  • Act as a primary liaison for executive stakeholders, providing timely updates and escalation support.
  • Conduct impact assessments on data risks and align regional execution with global data templates.
  • Champion master data management, cleansing, harmonization, and governance best practices.
  • Work closely with SAP and o9 technical architects to ensure system integration aligns with business processes.
  • Promote collaboration and accountability across a globally dispersed team of 30–40 individuals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in SAP data leadership roles (SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA).
  • Proven expertise in data governance, master data management, and large-scale data migration.
  • Experience delivering 2+ end-to-end global ERP transformations (multi-year, multi-region).
  • Strong ability to navigate across business, IT, and functional domains.
  • Comfortable working in large enterprise settings and managing high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience interfacing with senior leadership and global teams.
  • Prior success in managing complex, multi-vendor transformation environments.
  • Direct ownership of global data workstreams throughout ERP integration or implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with o9 enterprise planning, SAP EWM, or BlackLine.
  • Strong background in data cleansing, harmonization, and enterprise data standardization.
