Job Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled Platform Automation Engineer to lead secure data feed configurations, platform automation, and infrastructure optimization. This role will be central in managing and enhancing Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems, automating workflows, and utilizing cloud and containerization platforms to ensure operational scalability and reliability. The engineer will work cross-functionally to implement best practices and improve platform performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Secure Data Feed Management

• Configure and maintain secure SFTP data feeds using Secure Transport, HCL Workload Automation, and IBM Connect:Direct
• Monitor file transfers for integrity and troubleshoot issues as they arise

Job Scheduling & Automation

• Design and manage job schedules in HCL Workload Automation to support business processes
• Automate recurring tasks using scripts (Python, Perl) and Ansible playbooks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention

MFT Platform Oversight

• Administer MFT systems to ensure secure and seamless file exchanges
• Perform regular maintenance and patching of MFT tools to ensure uptime and compliance

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications using platforms like Azure and AWS
• Optimize cloud performance and cost through monitoring and fine-tuning

Containerization & Orchestration

• Use Kubernetes to deploy, scale, and manage containerized workloads
• Improve CI/CD pipelines through automated container management

Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks across all platform operations
• Enhance security protocols to safeguard data and systems

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

• Track platform performance and resolve system bottlenecks proactively
• Implement tools and strategies to monitor and improve infrastructure uptime and efficiency

Collaboration & Support

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform solutions with organizational goals
• Offer support and mentorship on technical challenges and infrastructure improvements

Continuous Learning & Development

• Stay current with emerging technologies in automation, cloud services, and DevOps
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain and expand professional knowledge

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field
• 2–5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with effective communication abilities
• Hands-on experience managing MFT platforms
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and Windows scripting
• Availability for occasional after-hours work (evenings/weekends) for deployments and critical tasks

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Familiarity with Secure Transport, HCL Workload Automation, and IBM Connect:Direct
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Certifications in Networking, Security, Scripting, Ansible, Cloud, or Containerization
