Job Description:
IT Help Desk Associate
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech Team is hiring an IT Help Desk Associate to provide support to our DNC staff! We are looking for someone who can ensure that the Democratic National Committee runs smoothly from a technical perspective, and that our staff can fight to win elections in every zip code. The ideal candidate will be a critical member of the team supporting the IT Director in providing optimal support to the DNC.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first line of defense for in-person and remote technical support
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure our VIP users are handled with sustainable urgency
- Utilizing the Zendesk ticketing system to track and follow up with user requests
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 resources after exhausting all efforts at the Tier 1 level
- Update documentation to ensure our policies, workflows, and technical information are kept up to date
- Responsible for inventory management and upkeep of the server room
- Assist and support for events, such as DNC and All-Staff meetings, press conferences, and more
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in IT roles or relevant coursework
- Dedication to customer service with strong interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and switching
- Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise management systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF
- Knowledge of Zendesk or other similar ticketing systems
- Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and chromeOS
